Home – Vikram Vinayak Mandir– Kashid beach – Murud Janjira Fort – Mahad

One hour late start, my plan was leave home at early 5 am but late because not get fine sleep last night in over excitement of trip. Finally we manage to leave at 6.30 am. my mom-dad and sister are come to the society gate to see of us, I felt & saw in their eyes that they are in dilemma of what to do, encourage us? or Barred us? because from previously they are opposite to buy motorcycle, I took him in faith & told them that we ride safely. Then bid them bye and get on the mark. Because this is my first motorcycle tour I am feeling nervous and little bit scare. Knock motorcycle two three times on speed breaker in addition that my motorcycle honk is not working and I am depress,

my mind was asking me….

Can you able to do this trip??

In such plain road you are not riding properly can you handle ghat section???

Then i took a small break, Drink some water took deep breath, made my mind and back on riding feeling better now.

Pass Panvel, not much traffic on road Riding at moderate speed took many butt break n drink lots of water. Enjoying our first long ride.

As per our plan we reach our first destination Vikram Vinayak Temple at 10 am. took darshan of shrine one by one because camera-mobile, luggage is not allowed in temple and there are not any lockers facility. We took Darshan of shrine, very beautiful Temple and also very huge & beautiful idol of lord Ganesh. Temple premises are very neat and clean, very pleasant place, worth to visit.

After that we took some refreshment, fix our honk nearby and forwarded to kashid beach about 16 km.

Reach there in half an hour. Park our motorcycle and went to beach side shack. Took some light snacks, missal paav etc. and relax there for some time while enjoying the beach view, roam around the beach. Little rush is there, many peoples are playing in water but water seems muddy & polluted so we are not in mood to entered in water After relaxing one and half hour there we decided to move for our next destination Murud-Janjira fort it is approximate 30 km away.

Roads are nice sea facing & hilly. We Reach Rajapuri jetty and went to ferry wharf to took ferry to the fort. We saw all the ferry boats are too small and owner is trying to get more and more people inside the boat. We also sat one of the boat and Boat are shaking badly I am little scare on that time, there are no backup setup in ferry if something misshape. We reach Janjira fort. Our ferry owner offer us guide at nominal price so we roam fort with guide. We saw there some biggest canons & some ruins of fort

Very hot climate, stream of sweat were falling from our body. We are felling very thirsty we took some refreshment and thinking about our plan. As per plan we want to reach up to Mahad for Night stay which is approx 90 km away because we decided that  “no night Riding” so we start from there. We took more than 3 hrs to reach Mahad with many breaks. Many breaks because of sore bum. we are newbie and not used of to sit hour an hour on saddle. We reach Mahad at about 7 pm and then start hunt for hotel. After some search we got one Hotel named Sai Tej very nice hotel with small restaurant. We check in there. refresh with nice cold water bath & watch TV for a while. Call at home and chat about our today’s travel experience. then come down for dinner, Food is manageable there. after that we come to our room, little discus about tomorrow plan & fall asleep
