Mahad – Ganpati pule – Jaigad fort – Ratnagiri

We woke up early, finish all morning deeds & Leave hotel at 6 am. in less than five minutes we are on the Mumbai-Goa Highway. No traffic on road, Climate was too pleasant. fresh cool air was flowing & road was also smooth, no potholes. so I enjoying the ride.

after cross Poladpur the ghat section was started and mighty Kashedi was ahead I am curious to ride on and test my riding ability. Turns are sharp & for me its bit difficult to  took turn in speed but I will manage to ride ghat section in moderate speed and gain some nice experience. From ghat, view was awesome but we didn’t stop in frequently because I want to complete ghat at full pelt. We took only one break in Kashedi in near hair pin bend took some photographs spend 10 min and forwarded….

In between we cross couple of small ghat. after cross Parshuram ghat we stop for breakfast took kande pohe and leave for Ganpatipule. Also feed unicorn tummy near Sangameshwar. We took Ukshi road for Ganpatipule which was very dangerous-hilly and also step hairpin bends I do not ride that type road before even kashedi ghat road is less dangerous in front of them after crossing some more kilometers there are one police check post. they called us for checking some chat with constable they record our motorcycle details and left us.

After half an hour we reach Ganpatipule. park our motorcycle at safe place and move towards temple little rush is there we took darshan of Ganpti bappa  and worship there, feeling great now. we roam in temple premises for a while. Suddenly I saw that my camera showing low battery signal & after 4-5 shoots it was totally dead. I angry on Myself  how can I forget to charge camera last night.

Then we do Pradakshina is about 1km long after that we came to temple. We saw there is time of lunger. So we also joined there in lunger they are serving dal khichadi and pickle, very hot & delicious that was we took that and moves toward beach. We walk on beach for a while not interested to go in water

Just strolling nearby & we saw museum named “Prachin Konkan” we went there, Nice open air museum with guide. if anybody wants to know about konkan social, economic, cultural and religious background then worth the onetime visit

after that we have two option

Jaigad fort & Lighthouse

Or

Ratndurg fort

& we choose Jaigad fort & lighthouse which is our wrong decision.

Road are super scenic, nice passing through small villages & cost totally enjoyable we reach there in half n hour nobody is there we entered in fort and what fort is totally deserted, nothing to see such there just some ruins. We roam for a while & return.

Actually we are going in summer season that’s why its looking deserted & not pleasant. I think this place is best to visit in monsoon because, then it fill with greenery & cool weather.

We move from there & went to lighthouse which is about 2-3km. away  there also  disappointment, lighthouse is close for tourist nowadays. so we ruin our sightseeing. waste the time in both places. all ready I am frustrated on cam and now this is adding oil in fire.

After this shit we want to reach Ratnagiri for night stay which is about 50km. We took Arrey Warrey road for Ratnagiri which also costal & scenic. Reach there up to sunset then search for budget hotel after some search we got hotel near Maruti Mandir circle, Hotel Alpha which is nice budget hotel. not much amenities but clean room & safe parking lot. We check in there. we got room at 850+Taxes. Freshened up with cold water, updated home about today’s status & relax for a while.

After some time we ramble through market, withdraw some cash,  roam for a while & return to room. Ordered food for dinner from hotel restaurant, took it with watching T.v.

& ended up with that day……
