Ratnagiri – Vijaydurg – kunkeshwar – Rameshwar – Tarkarli

As usual we Leave hotel at 6.30 am and forwarded to our first destination vijaydurg fort. But we are in a dilemma about going Vijaydurg fort. Because of yesterday Jaigad fort disappointment but we have much time in hand & not any other place in radar so we took a chance.

Just getting out of city and crossing Bhatye creek bridge, sun was dripping out from a gold & fisherman’s are busy in their job

We cross Pawas, roads are silent & less crowded. In somewhere in middle we lost the road. Not any sign board also not any in habitation looking nearby. so we precede some further in hope getting someone. After some distance we sight a S.T. bus park far from road and someone is there so my brother walk toward for ask the route and he come with him. He is conductor of that S.T. bus & he tell us that he don’t know exact route but wait for a while, Driver are coming he will help you. So we wait 5min. from nearby pathway driver comes & we ask him for the route, he know the exact route & he guide us very well. So we thanked them and move.

Upto Roads are very good except some patches & there are many creek crossing bridges, coconut trees, fisherman villages along the route.

After riding about 100km from Ratnagiri we reach Vijaydurg fort at 10am. We park a motorcycle & went to explore the fort.

We rumble everywhere, took many photos. We enjoyed the place very well.

This time we are not upset because Fort is very beautiful & there are many trees inside the fort which keep this place cool & pleasurable After spending more than one & half hour there we move for our next destination Kunkeshwar temple which is about 45km away.

On the way we refuel the tank. We reach Kunkeshwar temple at 12.30pm. we took darshan of shrine & stroll there to see beauty of temple. Temple facade is huge & very beautiful. The Temple is dedicated to lord Shiva & there are legend behind that temple

after that we are felling hungry so we in search of a place for lunch & we find one lunch home at left hand side of the temple. which is only provide homemade food. We went there & ordered Veg. Thali. Took that nice meal. Now time to rumble on beach. Water is dark blue, looking very beautiful felling like we in foreign country. we enjoy the views then took rest half an hour and decided to move from there.

our next destination is Rameshwar temple it is on the way of Malvan. we ride something 20 km & we saw cut for Rameshwar temple. It is also an ancient Shiv temple.

From there Malvan is only 15 km away. we reach there in half an hour & now time to search hotel. I have a list & number of some budget hotels which I took out from internet, one of them I called & inquired about room availability & they have vacant. so we ask him direction to reach & went there. The hotel is situated in Devbag, just adjacent to Tarkarli beach. The name of hotel is Shree Ganesh Resort. We reach there in 10 min. complete the all booking formalities. they show us our room & give us a complimentary A.C. for hour which is ice cream on a cake because climate was too hot outside. we just offload our luggage & fall on bed. because of A.C. we don’t know when we slept. After an hour we woke up & refreshed. Went outside spend some time in  premises then went to Malwan for some refreshment, we park motorcycle nearby Malwan market and went in to market for some refreshment. Malwan market area is very congested & with small road with full of peddlers & travelers. We stroll there, went to one of cold drink shop took some fruit cocktail & decided to return hotel.

Reach hotel some chit-chat with hotel guy who are nice friendly person. He is very interested in our journey asking about where we from, our next destination, our plan & many more…. after some nice talk he went on his work & he insist us to see Beach which is on walk able distance. Then we ordered dinner for night & went to stroll on beach.

As we pass one house front of our hotel & 2 min walk on narrow path we sight the beach

Full white sand beach with Crystal clear water & sky was packed with clouds felling like heaven. view just drown us

we stay there until dark & Return to room. Call home for daily update. Spend some time watching T.v. After some time our dinner was ready they call us. For dinner we ordered Veg Thali. Food is a hot and delicious. Quality, Quantity & Test was superb we enjoy the hearty meal full of tummy. After that heavy meal we took some walk for digest it.

as it is our third day of journey ended……
