per decided we woke up earlier & finish all morning deeds, took breakfast and headed towards temple for preparation. my uncle and my brethren are already there then we started to decoration.

In village mostly decoration is very simple not like urban areas. Here the main thing of decoration is that they put Madi (a square shaped make from wooden pieces) above Ganesh idol like Shelter and hang them flowers, fruits, some types of leaves, rice stems with leaves and panicle etc. this is a religious and common practice here. This will be seen here in every house above Ganesh idol. Next thing is background for that behind the Ganesh idol they draw any painting of god, scenery, any design, some are also use decorative tiles etc. that’s all. Not making congested near Ganesh idol.

Now our decoration, my uncle makes simpler he prints one scenery banner and put on wall. Now we want to hang madi first and then decorate them. We hang madi and handed over to oldies because they good know how to decorate. Now we move to outer side for decoration of Temple we have pataka and we want to make pataka strings to hang them. In city they are available  readymade & I think now days hear also in some shops but making them is fun.  Here in village time is going very slow & if you don’t want to bored then doing something is common practice here. so my brother and cosines glued the pataka pages and me sticking them to rope this is takes more than hour after that we hang this strings on roof bottom We enjoyed this work.

In between my uncle and others are finish lighting work after that we sweep and clean all things and now time to bring Ganesha. We waiting this moment curiously then we went to home and took the ganesh idol with cheer, slogans and establish in temple.

After that everybody worshiped lord Ganesha and then do Aarti. Everybody is happy and pleasurable atmosphere in around. We enjoyed that very much after completing all vidhi and religious thing now time to petpuja(Lunch) but first we want to offer the Ganesh and then we take. After offering ganesh. We took lunch all together.

After full of tummy we are lezzy and fall down to sleep. we went to home and slept one and half hour. after taking rest we feeling fresh. we come to temple make some photo shoot with Ganpati bappa then some time spend leisurely.

In our village area Maximum of younger generation is out of village for Business or job so in home remain mostly oldies that’s why main resources of entertainment for him is Bhajan and kirtan. So they like to do that. But now days another entertainment resources is there, like T.V., Mobiles but that are again  less popular in oldies. so that’s why Bhajan and kirtan is popular mostly everywhere in Konkan region.

My brethren Ganpati Bappa

After darkening we all my neighborhood and relatives come together and conduct Night Aarti and bhajan on everyone house in our area. In our area 9 houses is there. First we conduct Aarti in all houses and after taking dinner we come together for bhajan this took 3-4hrs after that we came home and slept…..
