This place strike in my mind when I am a recently member of Dslr (means when I get Dslr). I decided to visit this place. Because it give variety to increase photographic skill.

When ever I got travelling opportunity, first I will check that. can this doable with riding? then think of any other transport. Kaas is about 270 km from my place means 540 km return & we are doing only one day trip so 540 km is not less if more than 5 houres are going in tedious sightseeing so riding plan was cancel and we turn to public transport after searching bit we go with reliable Indian railway. we took Mahalaxmi Express Tickets For Going which is depart at night 8.30 And arrive in Satara Early morning 3.30 am & for return journey we took Gandhidham Express which is arrive in Satara at 3 pm & reach Mumbai at 10 pm. that means we get half day for sightseeing  and also fit in our one day criteria.

Now our travel dates are 20-21 September 2014 & the partner in crime is my elder brother who is Eveready for travel.

D day

We pack our luggage in backpack & went office. our train scheduled 9pm in Thane station so we don’t need to leave office early. We leave office at regular time and meet Thane station. took nice dinner & waiting for train. Train came at right time, no rush is there. We sat for hour then feel sleepy so went to sleep, set alarm of 3 am. but in our side berth peoples are too noisy they are playing, laughing, arguing like home because of that we unable to get fine sleep.

Soon, We reach Satara at 3.30 am & went to waiting room to fill our sleep quota. we slept there for 1 an half hour. Woke up at 5 am & finish morning rituals then set to leave at 5.30 am.

We first inquired some peoples about bus for Satara bus depot  & come to know that here bus is after one hour at 6.30 am. & about 1 km there is highway where we can get bus early. So we decided to head toward highway. When we are leaving from station we saw some rickshaws on gate, one of them ask us

where do you want to go?

We told bus depot

then one of them tell 350 INR

Without any question we move

he again…… give 200 INR

We are walking…………..

He shout again last give 150 INR

We are not respond…..

Then he start rickshaw & come to us & told give 120 INR & if we got some passengers on the way then give 20 INR per head

Oh that’s great deal & we agree..……

In between we got four passengers so we reach bus stop at 20 INR per head

After getting down from rickshaw our first priority was breakfast and for that we don’t need to search because where we get off there are some food stall which are serving hot breakfast, so we went there

took kanda pohe & Puri bhaji.

Now 6.30 o’clock, we went to bus stand to inquired bus to kaas & it was at 8.15 am which is nearby two hours later. So without wasting time we move for searching rickshaw because Time is precious & we have limited time. after searching & barging hard we got rickshaw at 500 INR for kaas.

In few minutes we left city behind and climbing ghat. Sun was just rising behind us & city still covered in fog. In rickshaw we are feeling cold, climate was too pleasant. Hills are covered with lush green carpet looking beautiful. The road are truly scenic both side of road have dam which view was amazing. Took some halt for photography & enjoy the nature.

In approx 1 hour we reach at entry gate of kaas. sky was full of clouds, we cross the fingers because if rain come then it will spoil all our sightseeing. Then paid entry fee which is 10 INR per head and camera fee 100 INR for DSLR. Then entered in plateau
